The Bee Eaters began playing together in April 2003. They played their first show that September and have appeared only sparingly since that time, though they are nearly constantly practicing, writing, and recording in a particularly cozy basement. They currently reside in their hometown of Rapid City, South Dakota, where they have returned after separate stints in Bozeman, MT, Olympia, WA, Minneapolis, MN, and Portland, OR. By Rapid City standards they are either pretty young or very old.
